Transportation to DIA
Northern Colorado is one of the best places to live in the world. But airport access leaves a bit to be desired. How are you going to get the hour or so south to DIA with the least wear and tear - - before you even get on that long flight?
You need a plan. May we suggest your transportation to DIA always be in a luxury SUV? Maybe it’s a bit pricier than a shuttle, but it’s so worth it, especially if you’re a frequent flyer. It starts with having your own airport chauffeur and you can count on ultra-clean vehicles and your own private space.
Let’s look at the advantages of having an SUV be your transportation to the Denver airport, case-by-case:
Taking a Luxury SUV versus Enduring the Shuttle
It’s your precious time we’re talking about here. And minimizing any hassles.
With a shuttle service from DIA, you have to get with their schedule, and it’s pretty inflexible. Say your flight arrives back at 10:45 pm. You have to get your bags off the carousel, and by then it’s too late to catch the 11pm shuttle north. You have to drag yourself and your bags out to the far reaches of the passenger pick up areas and wait what could be 45 minutes for the next shuttle. In the cold and the dark (or in the daytime, the blistering heat!) You’re tired, bedraggled and so in want of some creature comforts.
Yet you could have been in our spiffy SUV! Been picked up at the exit door, eased into our luxury SUV’s leather seats, turned up the heat (or air conditioning depending on the season) and not worried about another thing. Smooth riding all the way home – just you or you and your family. No strangers to climb over or accommodate. Or overhear their lengthy cell conversations.
Our professional driver is very accommodating and interested in your safe trip home. His or her total focus is you.
One more thing here: to take the shuttle you have to leave your car in a commuter lot. You’ll have to scrape ice or snow off it in the winter, leave it sitting in a hailstorm or question whether it’s really safe there year round.
And if you want to leave your car for someone else to use at home – you’ll need to get dropped off at the lot, indisposing that person at both ends of the journey. Lots of logistics here. You don’t want your transportation to DIA to add unpredictability and even anxiety to your travel.
Further, if you have the shuttle service pick you up at home you may have to endure a round robin of drop offs and pick ups of other passengers before ever getting to the Denver airport. This can add an hour or more to your transit. And it can wear you down before you’ve even started your vacation or business trip.
Overall, you are at the disposal of the shuttle service’s schedule, getting to the transfer station hours before you really need to. Haven’t you got better things to do with your time?
Luxury SUV versus Taxi
The problem with cabs is that customers don’t always get picked up. That’s what we hear from our passengers who’ve called us to rescue them at the last minute. They reserved a taxi to DIA but the cab never showed. That can jeopardize your entire vacation. Or important business trip.
The lack of reliability is a common complaint about taxis. And then there’s the fact that you’re just a ‘fare’ to the driver. Your satisfaction is not paramount, as it is with a private SUV service, whose whole business is based upon establishing and maintaining a stellar reputation.
Taxis are not always well maintained. The shocks may be shot. The seat padding may be thin to non-existent. Subject to breakdowns, the ride may be uncomfortable from start to finish. That can make for a very long hour plus to the airport.
Can you run the risk of getting to DIA late? Reconsider this mode of transportation if you hope to have an enjoyable, worry-free vacation.
Are you willing to run the risk of being late? Or even missing your flight? Reconsider this mode of transportation to DIA if you want to get there on time and have an enjoyable, worry-free vacation.
Luxury SUV versus Driving Yourself
It seems like a simple solution.
Rather than spend the little extra to go in style in a private airport car to DIA. . .
Or rather than taking the shuttle and being forced to leave at the crack of dawn to get to the airport mid-morning . . ..
Drive yourself.
But consider this when deciding your transportation:
At DIA, you’ll have to pay for parking. If you’re going for any extended period of time, the lots near to the terminal are expensive. And if you park in the distant lots like Pikes Peak, you’ll be lugging multiple bags onto a shuttle, and might be dropped off at an inconvenient central spot. Downhill from the terminal.
What if it snows on your way down or back? Inclement weather is something private car drivers are expert at handling. Are you? Wouldn’t you rather have someone at the wheel that’s a pro?
Is there enough room in your car for vacationers and for all your luggage?
And then there’s the tension that can build up when you are at the wheel, responsible for getting the family to the airport on time. Talk about a hot seat!
All eyes are on you and the clock is ticking.
Instead a private SUV driver is a calm master of the road and the timetable. It’s so much more relaxing when a professional from Transporter is in the driver’s seat.
Best advice? Let us be you transportation! Get to DIA on time and in a luxury SUV. And spoil yourself just a little!
